Heating My Beans?

I've not evolved to roasting my own beans as yet, but I will get there as soon as I can persuade my wife to put up with a little smoke in the kitchen each morning. Anyway, until then I'll keep buying roasted beans. I wonder if anyone thinks it's a good idea to heat up already roasted beans a little in a pan before grinding? Would this help to get more aroma and taste from the coffee?

can you say baked...see roasters try to cool the coffee as quick as possible after roasting...the quicker you cool the better the taste...so please do not heat your coffee or you will "bake' it not a good taste!

I say yes!

Hey,

I do it all the time when I run out of my green beans. However the beans better be medium or lightly roasted beans. If you try to reroast dark beans, they'll just taste burned.

Hope it helps.
