Surprisingly, I was checking out a forum dealing with iPhones and their attendant problems, etc. At the bottom of their page was a list of six or eight links to other forums. Since coffee is one of my current interests, I clicked on it and ended up here.

Im in also interested in good cigars and good bourbon.

exactly how I found it as well, had to go through a couple, trying to avoid the snobs and pretentious coffee forums. Wanted a good community of coffee people to talk to.
